GASTROENTEROLOGY, INTERNAL MEDICINE
Dr Rajnakova established her private practice at Andrea’s Digestive, Colon, Liver and Gallbladder Clinic at Mount Elizabeth Hospital in 2010 and, in 2018, relocated to her current practice at Royal Square Medical Centre. Her principal clinical interests include therapeutic endoscopy, gastric and colorectal cancer, coeliac disease, and inflammatory bowel disease.
She adopts a holistic and personalised approach to patient care, integrating medical treatment with dietary and lifestyle modification. Where appropriate, she provides assessment for food allergies and intolerances and develops tailored dietary recommendations to support her patients’ overall health and long-term well-being.
Dr Rajnakova began her medical career in Singapore at National University Hospital (NUH), where she completed her specialist training in Gastroenterology. At the National University of Singapore (NUS), she obtained her Doctorate of Medical Studies, focusing on gastric cancer.
Her academic and research achievements have been recognised with several prestigious awards, including the Young Doctor’s Research Award, the Best Paper Award for Gastric Cancer in Singapore, and the Best Oral Presentation in the Medical Disciplines at the 8th Annual Scientific Congress.
Throughout her academic career, Dr Rajnakova has maintained an active involvement in clinical research. She has presented her research at numerous international and local conferences and has published her findings in multiple international peer-reviewed medical journals.
She was also actively involved in medical education and postgraduate training. At NUS, she served as a Clinical Tutor for undergraduate medical students at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, Chief Coordinator for postgraduate examinations, and a mentor and endoscopy trainer for advanced endoscopy specialists and trainees. She has also organised numerous endoscopy workshops for both local and international endoscopists.
Dr Rajnakova was awarded a Health Manpower Development Plan (HMDP) Fellowship for advanced training in Therapeutic Endoscopy and Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) at the European Endoscopic Training Centre, Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, Rome, Italy, under the mentorship of Professor Guido Costamagna, former President of the European Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy.
Her specialist interests and expertise in therapeutic endoscopy have remained an important part of her clinical practice.
Dr Rajnakova was one of the founding members and investigators of the Gastric Cancer Consortium in Singapore, contributing to research and collaborative efforts that supported the development and implementation of gastric cancer screening guidelines in Singapore.
Her work in this field reflects her longstanding commitment to early detection, prevention and evidence-based management of gastrointestinal cancers.
In recognition of her clinical service and contribution to patient care, Dr Rajnakova has received several awards, including the Sunny-Side-Up Award, NUH Service Award, Excellent Service GOLD Award, and the National Excellent Service (EXSA) Star Award.
Her contribution to the wider community and international relations has also been recognised. She received the Goodwill Envoy Award from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Slovakia, as well as the Finder Expat-preneur Award in 2020 and the Expat Living Readers’ Award, which she received consecutively from 2019 to 2023.
Dr Rajnakova is multilingual and speaks fluent English, Czech, Slovak and Russian, enabling her to communicate comfortably with patients from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
With extensive experience spanning specialist clinical practice, advanced therapeutic endoscopy, research, medical education and postgraduate training, Dr Rajnakova is committed to providing evidence-based, personalised and holistic care to patients with gastrointestinal, liver, pancreatic and colorectal disorders.
