Stomach Issues

The stomach is a muscular organ located on the left side of the upper abdomen. The prime fucntion of the stomach is to release acid and enzymes that digest food and to physically breaks down the food. Most people have a problem with their stomach at one time or another. Indigestion and heartburn are common problems.

Gallbladder Issues

The gallbladder is a small, pear-shaped hollow organ where bile is stored and concentrated before it is released into the small intestine. The gallbladder holds bile produced in the liver until it is needed for digesting fatty foods in the duodenum of the small intestine.

Liver Issues

 The liver filters the blood coming from the digestive tract. It also detoxifies chemicals and metabolizes drugs, secretes bile and makes proteins important for blood clotting and other functions.

Liver disease can be inherited (genetic) or caused by a variety of factors, such as viruses and alcohol use. Obesity is also associated with liver damage.

Colon Issues

The colon is also known as the large bowel or large intestine. Its function is to reabsorb fluids and process waste products from the body.

Common problems affecting the colon and rectum include irritable bowel syndrome, constipation, structural disorders and hemorrhoids.
